Intraday Phasing and Trading

The course has been designed to provide skill development not just theory lectures.
To get anything worthwhile done, you MUST maintain your priorities DESPITE the distractions.  Focus, focus, focus.

I sometimes mention I use ‘intraday’ to confirm my phasing analysis and to tighten my entries and exits.  I don’t consider I ‘trade’ intraday, but my methods can be used that way.

The key is using real time.  To do this, all of the missing time has to be filled in on the intraday charts.  This includes weekends, holidays and any other time the server is down.

I apply standard cyclic knowledge to track the shorter cycles.  This approach can be utilised right down to the one minute timeframe – including determining the intraday cyclic model as you go.

Trading opportunities will occur and possible trading strategies can be discussed.
An important part of what I propose is assisting with phasing practice on intraday charts across time.  This improves phasing skills and provides a feedback loop to daily phasing.

Will these techniques be valuable?

I find these techniques particularly handy on the 4 hour timeframe.  This gives me better entries and exits.  That is really useful in my high leverage accounts.  Timing highs and lows is important.  This information is essential for those with an interest in intraday trading.

What will be covered?

• Monthly, weekly & daily phasing.  We need a starting point to go to intraday.
• Supply and use of software to generate real time intraday charts
• The use of ‘fixed’ time
• Setting up the 4 hour chart
     - How to use cyclic tools on all intraday timeframes
• Setting up the 1 hour chart (and beyond if you like)
     - Extending the cycle model
• Practice
     - Researching and testing in the past.  We learn from hindsight.
     - Maintaining intraday chart(s) phasing real time
• Trading opportunities
     - These will come up and trading techniques will be discussed

What will be needed?

• CycleMaster installed on MT4
• Advanced Cycles cyclic knowledge
• Time to set up intraday chart(s) – perhaps an average on 1 hour per day initially.
• Time to look back – how long is a piece of string – this is your call.
• Time to look forward – perhaps an average of 10 minutes a day. 3 seconds some days!

Will there be an opportunity to practice the techniques?
Once you understand the techniques and have your charts set up, you will be expected to research how these techniques have worked in the past, as well as keeping up intraday charts each trading day.

Can these techniques be used to ‘trade’ all of the intraday timeframes? Yes.  I choose not to go beyond the 1 hour timeframe, but the techniques are universal if you have the time and want to put in the work.

Will we be developing an intraday cyclic model?
Using what you learn, this will be possible.

Is software included?
Yes.  We will be using real time on intraday and software is needed to fill in missing time like weekends and holidays.

How many sessions?
This Group Guide Beside course will involve at least 8 weekly sessions.  Initial sessions will cover the techniques and the later sessions will provide a chance to check in for Q&A, discussions and to compare your intraday phasing with mine.

Will help be available between sessions?
Yes, we can use email or phone and AnyDesk so I can see what you are up to on your screen and provide assistance.
